Instructions
For the beer batter, put all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well with a whisk. Set aside and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, wash and dry the apples and remove the seeds. Cut into slices approx. 5 mm thick (0.25 inches). They do not need to be peeled unless the peel is very thick and hard to bite into.
Das Öl in einen mittelgroßen Topf leeren (es sollte mindestens 5 cm hoch sein) und auf 170°C erhitzen. Die Apfelscheiben mit beiden Seiten im Mehl wenden (damit der Backteig gut hält).
Dip the apple rings into the beer batter and then carefully place them in the hot oil (170°C / 338°F). After about 2-3 minutes, turn over and bake for another 2-3 minutes until both sides are golden brown. Then place the apples on a plate lined with kitchen paper and let drain.
Mix cinnamon and sugar in a deep plate and toss the baked, still warm apple slices in it. Best enjoyed warm.
