Easy Overnight Oats - Ingredients
These easy overnight oats are wonderfully creamy and can be modified to suit your taste.
OATS - With quick oats, the overnight oats will be particularly creamy. Of course, you can also use “normal” large-leaved oat flakes.
MILK - Whether oat milk, almond milk, soy, rice, hazelnut or cow's milk. Whatever tastes good is allowed. However, keep in mind that many plant-based milks are naturally sweet, so you need less additional sweetener.
SEEDS AND NUTS - Overnight oats are ideal for mixing in a lot of seeds and nuts. You can mix these with the oat flakes and the liquid the day before and / or sprinkle them fresh over the oats before eating.
If you mix them in the day before, you may need to add a little milk before eating, depending on the amount of seeds and nuts.
Chia and/or flax seeds make the overnight oats even creamier and bind the ingredients. They also contain many healthy nutrients.
These seeds and nuts also go very well in the overnight oats: sunflower seeds, sesame, almonds, hemp seeds, cashews, walnuts.
MAPLE SYRUP - The easy overnight oats are sweetened with maple syrup. Alternatively, you can also use honey, date syrup, coconut blossom sugar, rice or agave syrup. Add according to your taste.
SPICES - Cinnamon tastes very good in this recipe. You can also mix in about 1/2 teaspoon of one of these spices if you like: cocoa, cardamom, turmeric, ginger (in small quantities, as it is very intense).
YOGHURT - – You can mix 2-3 tablespoons of yoghurt into the overnight oats the day before when preparing or in the morning.
MORE IDEAS - Raisins, goji berries, nut butter, jam, coconut flakes, cocoa nibs, chocolate, quinoa pops,…
